My name is Kieran Eite,

I’m 20 years old, an UK Citizen and at this point in time, I’m working as a Greenkeeper at a top 100 course in England (Parkstone Golf Club). Before joining Parkstone I worked at The Dorset Golf Resort where I took an apprenticeship for a Level 2 qualification in Golf Greenkeeping and now a well qualified and knowledgeable Greenkeeper with a pesticides certification as well. I’m also very committed golfer, I work incredibly hard on my game and as a result I was able to get my handicap down from 24 to 2 in just 2 years.

My long-term career plan is to work within the golf industry in Florida as I want to take my Greenkeeping career to the next level and stage. At this point in time I have no US authorisation nor do I have any kind of Visa to work in the US. However, if I can find some guaranteed support/sponsorship and someone willing to help me I will be able to apply for a working Visa so that I may fulfil my dream of working as a Greenkeeper at such a prestigious golf course in Florida and taking my career to the next level! I would even be happy to pay for all the costs to get me there but I will need a club/employer that would be willing to support me through this and also someone who would help offer me a job as an Assistant Greenkeeper so I can start my career journey and fulfill my dream.

Being a greenkeeper has enabled me to continue working on my game, with free use of practice facilities and membership.

My greenkeeping experience has really opened my eyes to a completely new element to this fascinating game, learning how the golf course itself is run and managed. This has not only helped with my knowledge but with my golf too with a general greater understanding.

Since I have been qualified, my intention has always been to find a suitable Greenkeeping placement where I can further develop my knowledge and delve into new a new chapter for my long-term goals to continue working in the industry with my desire to work with Bermuda grass and look after a golf course in Florida.

In preparation towards my goal, I achieved a distinction* in Triple Sports (equivalent to 3 x A levels or 3 AP courses in the US) which covered all aspects of sports science, management and coaching.

I went to The Purbeck School where I earned my GCSE’s and A Level qualification. I also attended Cannington College where I earned my qualification in Greenkeeping.
