About Kirsty Leslie:
I am an experienced Music and Musical Theatre lecturer with over six years’ experience working in Further Education, specialising in vocal training and performance. Alongside my teaching role, I currently serve as a UCAS Lead, supporting students through progression, applications, and career pathways into higher education and the creative industries.
I bring a broad, inclusive perspective to my teaching practice. My background includes work as a secondary school music teacher, a peripatetic singing teacher, and a professional musician, including performance work on international cruise liners. These experiences allow me to combine academic rigour with real-world industry insight, helping students develop both technical skill and professional confidence.
I am highly adaptable, student-focused, and committed to creating engaging, supportive learning environments. I also hold a full minibus licence, as well as overseas lead within education, enabling me to support trips, tours, and enrichment activities.
I am currently seeking opportunities within Further or Higher Education where I can continue to inspire, mentor, and prepare students for successful careers in music and performance.
