Experience
Grafton & Co, London – Accounts Assistant (December 2022 to September 2023)
Bookkeeping, management of the purchase ledger and the credit control of over 15 different sister companies showed me the level of high performance required and adaptability to uncertain scenarios and unexpected decisions made by the wider business, such as the incorporation of new entities and the change of personnel within the company. I also performed daily multi currency payments across the different entity accounts managed by Grafton which gave me an insight into the banking & business practices across Europe, the Middle East and the United States as some of the entities managed were domiciled in these regions.
Furthermore, utilising my previous experiences of working in both AP & AR greatly benefited me in performing this role proficiently. As a property management firm, Grafton provided my enhanced understanding of the property management industry and the unrivalled deliverance of bespoke services.
Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP (MTG), London - Finance Assistant (Cashier) (March 2021 to December 2022)
My main roles working for MTG has involves various cashiering duties, being responsible for the management of the purchase ledger, carrying out daily payment runs (including chequing duties), regularly running reports, maintaining the fixed assets/depreciation schedule, credit card reconciliations to name a few.
I also manage all the company bank accounts, deliver all the bank reconciliations and regularly action the payments of large amounts from the client account for respective client matters, especially property completions for the Real Estate department, as well Private Wealth cases.
As one of the top law firms in the country, MTG has taught me a lot about delivering a high quality of service in my output. Being meticulous is a key facet of my working style and ensuring mistakes are kept to a minimum.
Devonshires Solicitors LLP, London - Finance Assistant (July 2019 - March 2021)
For this role I embarked upon several tasks which enhanced and diversified my skill set. Ranging from debt collection and debt management to payment runs and reconciliations of office and client accounts.
I dealt with over 300 clients each month leading me to build a natural rapport with most clients, knowing exactly how to tend to each unique client’s individual needs. Furthermore, this role helped me ensure the amount of Aged debt owed is regularly kept to a minimum and the clients remunerate the firm effectively for their debts owed to us.
