Konrad Tomczyk

y name is Konrad Tomczyk. I have achieved a second-class master’s degree in Architecture at Dundee University. The five years at university taught me all aspects of architectural thinking, from site surveying and processing collected information which helps in designing to delivering a project which considers crucial aspects of architecture such as light, sounds, communication of the users, the behavioral implications on people due to the design (well-being) and sustainability in design as well as technological advancement and consideration to history in terms of retrofit of listed buildings. I also have achieved a Higher National Diploma in Architectural Design therefore I have good knowledge of the current Building Regulations and building technology as well as basic knowledge of structural loads and thermal values calculations. I am a very creative and hard-working individual who works very well in a team and under pressure; always punctual, and ready to go the extra mile to complete the task. I am a very positive person who does not easily get demotivated and is always ready to take on new challenges. I am fluent in the use of tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Adobe Package, and Office Package. My love for architecture appeared when I began doing technical drawings in High School. I really enjoyed the level of detail and precision involved in it and just looking at real-life objects in 2D perspective was very interesting therefore I continued with Architectural Technology which gave me an introduction to designing and more profound knowledge of the technical aspects of construction therefore, I decided that Architecture is the right path for me to expand my knowledge and skills. I enjoy analyzing other buildings and understanding the architectural moves in those designs to learn from the best and then apply this knowledge in my designs.
