Leanne Faulkner

I have been a teacher for 11 years now. I have experience in the UK and internationally. I have mainly worked in Early Years and Key Stage One, however, I do have Key Stage Two experience as well as I taught this age during my senior leadership post as Head of Teaching and Learning. I have been Head of English in 3 different schools and have particular passions for Phonics, Reading, Writing and learning through play. I plan on returning back to the uk to live in Scotland in the near future which is why I am searching for work.

I have taught for 11 years now, mainly in Key Stage One and Early Years. I have had an out of class senior leadership role as Head of Teaching and Learning in the first British International school I worked in, which was in Abu Dhabi. During this time, I did gain experience in Key Stage Two as I taught English and Maths intervention groups while in this role. I have held Head of English roles in 3 schools and have a strong passion for Reading, Writing and Phonics. I am also a huge advocate for learning through play.

I completed a BA Hons in English with Education followed by a PGCE in Primary Education.
