About Llelahni Briscoe:
I would consider myself a compassionate and motivated healthcare professional with experience as both a Healthcare Assistant and student Mental Health Nurse. My background has provided me with valuable skills in delivering person-centred care, supporting individuals with a wide range of physical and mental health needs, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. I am particularly passionate about working with children and young people, creating safe and supportive environments that promote growth, confidence and well-being. With a warm and approachable nature, I take pride in building rapport with the people and their families I care for while maintaining my professionalism and a strong committment to high-quality care.
Experience
I have experience working with older adults, presenting with Dementia and frailty. I have also had placements in acute, inpatient settings where I have learned the skill of adaptability. As a mental health nursing student, I am developing strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in supporting individuals with diverse mental health needs, while demonstrating compassion, communication, and resillience. My background as a healthcare assistant has provided hands-on-experience in delivering personal care, maintaining patient dignity and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. In addition, my time at IKEA strengthened my customer service abilities, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fast paced environment. Jointly these roles have shaped my confidence, professionalism and ability to support others with empathy and respect.
Education
Currently undertaking a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing, where I am developing knowledge of mental healht conditions, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice, alongside clinical practice experience through clinical placements. This builds on my prior learning in health and social care, which gave me a strong foundation in communication, safeguarding, equality, and person-centred care. My education equips me with both theoretical understanding and practical skills to provide safe, effective and compassionate support in healthcare settings.
