I’m Louise, a business graduate with a background in tax, now eager to apply my skills in the world of PR, branding, and communications.

After completing my master’s in Business Administration and working as a Corporate Tax Consultant, I realized that my true passion doesn’t lie in spreadsheets and numbers, but in stories, brands, and connections. I want to be part of the creative process that helps brands communicate authentically and build strong relationships with their audience.

My background taught me to work with precision, manage complex projects, and build trusted client relationships. But now I want to apply those skills in a field that excites me: fashion, PR, and branding.

I’m ready to relocate to London to immerse myself in an environment where creativity, communication, and innovation meet.

I started my career as a Corporate Tax Consultant in September 2023, where I worked on tax advisory and compliance projects for both national and multinational companies. My role involved helping clients with complex tax strategies, including tax planning, reporting, compliance, and managing interactions with tax authorities.

Over time, I broadened my expertise by joining the ‘International Tax and Transaction Services‘-team. In this role, I worked on cross-border tax advisory projects, with a focus on group restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and the Pillar Two regulations which allowed me to collaborate with global teams across jurisdictions to ensure that multinational clients were structured in a tax-efficient and compliant manner.

Throughout my time at this job, I developed strong analytical and project management skills, along with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable advice for clients. I built long-term relationships with stakeholders and delivered results in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

While I value the structured thinking and client management skills I developed in this role, I’m now ready to apply those strengths in a more creative industry, specifically in PR, branding, and communications. I’m excited to leverage my strategic mindset and ability to manage complex projects to help brands build authentic connections and grow their presence.

I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Tax from KU Leuven, where I focused on international tax systems, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance. This academic foundation gave me a solid understanding of business structures, client management, and financial strategies, which I applied throughout my professional experience.

Prior to my master’s, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management – Accountancy & Taxation at Thomas More Hogeschool, where I gained practical insights into financial reporting, business operations, and taxation.

These studies provided me with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I now aim to apply in a more creative, communications-focused industry. I’m eager to leverage my business knowledge to contribute to brand growth, storytelling, and strategic communication in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

While my studies were heavily focused on finance, taxation, and business structures, the skills I developed — such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and client management — are highly transferable to the field of PR, branding, and communications. I understand that my academic background does not traditionally align with a career in PR. However, what sets me apart is my ability to adapt, my eagerness to learn, and my strong interpersonal and communication skills. Throughout my studies and work experience, I’ve learned to manage client relationships, handle complex projects, and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations — all of which are essential skills in any industry.

Beyond the technical knowledge I’ve gained, my interest in creative storytelling, fashion, and branding has always been a strong personal passion. I’m now ready to apply my analytical mindset in a creative environment and continue learning new skills to become a valuable team member in PR and communications.
