Work experience 

Vets4Pets, Gillingham - Supported Internship, Veterinary Care Assistant (February 2022 - current)
● My responsibilities include cleaning out and preparing kennels in the cat, dog and isolation ward, monitoring animals as they come around from anaesthetic and feeding once recovered
● Other responsibilities include cleaning and sterilising surgical kits, swabs, running bloods, changing anaesthetic circuits, handling and restraining animals/aiding the nurses, cleaning prep area, shutting down theatre and vet rooms at the end of the day
● Gained receptionist skills like taking phone calls, booking in appointments, scanning and responding to emails. Help to organise admin and prepare for the surgeries the following day e.g. getting syringes, needles, surgical tape etc all ready and the patient forms/handouts printed.

Happy Pants Ranch Animal Sanctuary, Sittingbourne, Work Experience (October 2019- June 2020)
● I had my work experience placement here for my Animal Management course
● My responsibilities on the ranch consisted of mucking out, feeding the animals, egg collecting,
grooming, health-checking the animals. I worked with a range of different animals including guinea pigs, ferrets, pigs, cows, chickens, ducks/geese and more
Petaholics, Gillingham, Work Experience, Retail Assistant (September 2018- May 2019)
● Shelf stocking, mopping, sweeping the floors, health checking the animals, cleaning out the animals, feeding, watering/handling, water changes.
● The animals I worked with ranged from exotics like snakes, lizards and tarantulas and rodents like rats, mice, hamsters and more
Cats Protection, Bredhurst, Volunteer (2017)
● After a week of work experience, I went on to volunteer there for another 6 months. I helped out in a charity event that was held there too, which consisted working behind the stools and dealing with money
● My other responsibilities consisted of socialising the cats, cleaning the pens including litter trays, food and water bowls. I also gave fresh water and food in the mornings.

Mid-Kent College (September 2018- July 2021). Achieved Triple Merit in Animal Management Level 3 Diploma and achieved Double Distinction in Animal Care Level 2 Diploma.
● Brompton Academy (2013-2018). Achieved 6 GCSEs, Mathematics (4), English literature (4), English Language (5), Double science (43), Geography (4), Art & Design (4)
