WORK EXPERIENCE 

1. Research Assistant in Biomolecular Sciences and Pharmacy - Liverpool John Moores University, May 2024 - Present 

• Executed complex mammalian cell culture protocols, including sub-culturing of various epithelial cells, fibroblasts, immortalized cells and cancerous hepatocytes to investigate epigenetic and metabolic pathways in liver disease models. • Performed cell lysis on AAV infected cells and prepared tissue lysates from knock-in mouse liver and ear tissues, enabling downstream analysis for advanced molecular assays. • Applied atomic force microscopy (AFM), nanoindentation, and Seahorse XF analysis to characterize cellular biomechanics and mitochondrial respiration. • Conducted molecular experiments including RNA isolation, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, and immunofluorescence to quantify biomarker and epigenetic marker expressions. • Extracted DNA, conducted PCR and electrophoresis, and implemented histological processing for murine tissue samples using paraformaldehyde fixation. • Streamlined laboratory workflows through meticulous inventory management, procurement processes, documentation of experimental data, and risk assessments; contributed to peer-reviewed manuscripts and grant proposals.

• Practiced aseptic handling and routine sub-culturing of mammalian cell lines under BSL cabinet conditions, ensuring sterility and experiment reliability.
