Career History:

November 2017 – September 2019 Land Acquisition, Welsh Government

Position Held – Apprentice 

Project: Supporting compulsory purchase scheme to enable construction of A465 and 5 and 6 Heads of the Valleys construction process. 

Duties: Key contact point for all the claimants. Understanding and applying legislation to the process and responding to claimants. Liaising with legal firms, land agents in ensuring payments were made on time.

October 2019 – August 2023 Infrastructure Delivery Division, Welsh Government , Transport

Position Held – Project Support Officer

Projects Supported – Supporting A465,  A483 (Llandeilo), A40(Llanddewi Velfrey to penblewin), M4 – A4810(Steelworks access road, Llanwern) - Aftercare

Main Duties 

• Assimilating and providing cost management information to Senior Management (Project Engineers)
• Management of Roads  - Maintaining costs and budget relating to works such as : Drainage, lighting, PCDS – Oil Interceptors and remediation works specifically relating to design implementations to ensure the structures are functioning consistently;
• Stakeholder Engagement – Liaising with stakeholders inside and outside of Welsh Government. To name a few: Arup, Arcadis, local authorities. Effectively communicating with professionals;
• Attend progress meetings on site;
• Project Admin – Meetings, following up on actions, minutes taking, design meetings, attending site for relevant tasks relating to road inspections;
• Cost Planning and Budgeting – Responsible for administration of project costs, maintaining the monthly costs, payments so that Project engineers have up to date picture of costs. Cost management relating to Advisor/Employers agents Project spend for Ground investigation and build phase;
• Contract Management – Setting up contracts in accordance with Welsh Government processes

Position Held: Development Assistant (Part Time)

Main Duties:

• Attending site inspections with senior Quantity Surveyor(Three housing development sites in Cardiff)
• Carrying out inspections and documenting development Progress(meeting notes and actions)
• Understanding various phases of construction and construction process
• Liaising with contractor QS following up on development progress
• Assisting Senior QS with cost management

August 2023 – Current  - Property Manager, Tina Investments Properties Limited

• Managing Properties owned by the company
• Key contact point for all property management day-to day issues
• Liaising with Tenants on maintenance issues relating to properties
• Liaising with maintenance teams and external contractors to ensure to obtain quotes, organise work, coordinate access and ensure issues are resolved swiftly
• Carry out property inspections and inventories when required
• Letting of properties, carrying out viewings and other related processes
• Assisting in renovation of properties
• Ensure tenants are provided with excellent customer service so that they are comfortable in their properties
• Ensuring all the Health and Safety aspects of the property management are adhered to

• HNC Surveying (University of South Wales) – 2022
• Degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management – Pursuing (Completes in 2025)
