Maria José Alarcon

Maria is a qualified lawyer in NY, Spain and Ecuador and has litigated before various courts in Ecuador in environmental cases, including the Constitutional Court. 

Maria focuses her practice in international arbitration and public international law having worked in several law firms and international organizations in Paris, London, Madrid, Hamburg, Abu Dhabi, Florida and Ecuador.

She has been a professor for international environmental law for the past 2 years. Maria worked for the Nicolas Institute of Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University and she is currently an Assistant Editor for Investment Arbitration and Environmental Law.
