About Mariam Mahmoud:

Current Master's student in Urban Planning at Columbia University, '24. I am an avid reader and a constantly curious researcher, interested particularly in issues of violence, capitalism, and imperialism in urban space. While my main region of interest is the Middle East, with a specialty in Egypt, I am also interested in other global processes and actors.
