I have worked on many projects working across the whole spectrum of the Construction Industry. I have worked in New Build Housing for Jones/ Emersons and Fearnley. Then I moved into building commercial builds like Urbis/ The Imperial War museum/Chill Factre and the Commonwealth Games Stadium. I also worked on the construction major hospital builds like Manchester Children`s Hospital/ St James Oncology/ St Helens and Whiston Hospitals. My involvement in building Europe’s biggest Container Ports have been major achievements too. I have worked with big budgets and smaller budgets but always tried to achieve best quality and service. I hope to bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to any company.

• To deliver all new packages to Ancillary Builds, Infrastructure Rekli Secondary Steels,
Running track Bridge Insitu GRC.
• Tender all packages and Evalutae and award
• Source bespoke building products
• Review existing contractor and performance
• Deliver a 90million pound project on time and within budget
• Work within the JCT Contract
• Monthly reports and material schedule updates

 

Senior Buyer (Fixed Term Contact)
• To deliver Anchorsholme pipeline 100million pound project Procure materials at best price
• Deliver materials and subcontracts in a timely manner
• Negotiate Terms and Conditions Daily purchase ordering
• Invoice queries
• Liaise with manufacturers to deliver on schedule
• Evaluate and award contracts
 

echanical and Electrical Engineering Purchasing Manager
• Reporting to the Project Director and Global Vice President
• Manager to and responsible for six buyers two assistant buyers and three admin members of the
staff.
• Supporting and coaching the team with their project management.
• Providing punctual, efficient and costeffective support, ensuring programme dates are achieved.
• Management of rebate process including negotiation and reconciliation of the claim
• Implementation of new buying practices development of SAP system. Implemented new tender
contracts.
• Negotiation of specification and the procedures with companies, suppliers and subcontractors.
• To ensure current legislation and products are researched, including employing modern methods.
• The day to day buying role involving managing the procurement process for the new portals
budgets up and beyond £100m.My brief is to provide punctual, efficient and cost effective service
and support to the sites ensuring programme is achieved.
• Assessment and negotiation of tender quotations in order to identify best financial, health and
safety and environmental options for the company leading to the placement of a best value order.
• To report costs, to finish the project against targets and budgets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• To assist the finance department in the monitoring of invoice levels and the process of invoices,
as well as a handson approach to queries
Project London Gateway:
• This will be the largest and deepest Port in Europe
• The total cost of the site is £2.5 Billion Pounds Cargotec have at the moment phases one and
two. This is for the erection Installation and Commissioning of 40 ASC cranes. If successful on
phases 3, 4 and 5 a further 50 ASCs to be installed and Commissioned.
• To date the contract is worth £175 million pounds

• The budget for phases one and two is £40 million pounds Wrote all the tender contracts for the subcontractors Responsible for all purchasing for London Gateway Responsible for all suppliers and frameworks
• FAS weekly reports Monthly budget plans Ordered Machinery
• Travelled to Finland for monthly meetings with all Directors involved with this project
• Monthly steering committee meeting Rebating systems
• Working alongside 15 Principle Contractors on London Gateway
