Experienced finance / telecommunications / technical service delivery management professional who likes to take a hands on approach to solving problems. Commercially aware, I am a methodical pragmatist who uses logic and facts to aid my decision making process. Focused and confident decision maker with excellent interpersonal skills, I am able to communicate with staff at all levels within an organisation. A good mediator, I am experienced in managing user requirements and expectations. I am a constructive, practical team player who likes to get the job done, but equally capable of working alone. I am able to use IT and project management software and also have SAP experience. My flexible approach allows me to adapt to any changing requirements or priorities relating to the task in hand.

I have a history of working in finance. I used to be responsible for the finance relating to the internal postal functions of an organisation. This involved processing all departmental invoices and managing a quite challenging recharging process, which ensured we were able to recoup all of the global postal charges. Back then we used various bespoke finance systems to help with this recharge function. 

My next role was finance officer for the facilities department; this was mainly processing supplier invoices, processing travel & subsistence claims, booking travel & accommodation, preparing journals, carrying out reconciliations & year end accruals.

Then had a long spell in telecommunications & service delivery, which strangely enough involved a good amount of finance, processing supplier invoices, dealing with any queries regarding invoices or credit notes, keeping on top of maintenance contracts & ensuring we did not exceed our departmental budget.   

I am currently halfway though my AAT level 2 course and would love to be given the opportunity to put the theory into practice. Point is I have a lot of experience in the workplace. I have financial experience and am also gaining more depth in this field though study. I am very confident that the transferable skills I have accumulated from my various roles over the years will be of huge benefit to any organisation
