Martin Singer

A versatile, professional Manager with proven experience in the management of staff, within the demanding environment of the British Army. An enthusiastic and motivated individual who is accustomed to working to tight deadlines and meeting set targets. A natural team leader and player, who is flexible and approachable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experienced in the planning, motivating and training of staff and possessing well developed presentational skills.
 

I was previously employed as a Transport Planner, with Keenan Recycling Limited, where i managed a fleet of over 90 vehicles, and arrange all the maintenance, repairs, and supply of new vehicles. I have successfully completed my Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence(2021)).  I was previously employed by Stagecoach, starting as a PSV Driver in Peterhead, then moving to Insch, I was promoted to a Relief Controller, and moved into the Aberdeen Depot.  I gained the opportunity to be a Controller, and held the position for over 4 years.  During this time I have attended and successfully passed the Operational Supervisors Development Program.

Prior to this I completed a full 25 year military career, starting at the age of 16, which has seen me being deployed worldwide, including Operational theatre’s.  Whether I have been in barracks or deployed on Operations I have had to continue to provide comprehensive administration support to all levels, from Senior Management level to coal face employees’, so they can carry out their duties to the fullest.

During my career as a Manager within the British Army I have had many successes, such as implementing new administration systems, producing and developing policies and HR procedures.
