Melania Midgley

I have had multiple years of experience in customer service roles in past jobs, where I have developed my communication and Problem solving skills. I found it essential to utilise these skills to be able to deliver good customer service. I also am a fast and adaptable learner and always keen to pick up new skills.

Since September 2022 I have also been volunteering at the Pumpkin Patch nursery where I help pre- school children and also I have volunteered previously at Guild care helping to keep company to those within there care. This has helped me develop different communication styles which has proven incredibly effective in future jobs 

From November 2023 I have been working at Haskins Garden Centre in Rustington as a Front of house assistant and Barista within the busy cafe. This role is particularly demanding as it requires a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining speed and efficiency during peak hours and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation. My experience has honed my ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast- paced environment while consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Previous to that I was working as a Seasonal Christmas Worker at Sainsburys in Lyons farm in Worthing. Although only a short term contract I enjoyed helping and talking to customers as my main job was working as a customer representative, mainly working on the tills.

My first Job however I worked from January 2022 to November 2022 at Dominoes Pizza in Goring by sea, wher4e I was a team member at the busy takeaway pizza outlet. I worked covering multiple positions including taking orders over the phone, preparing pizza, quality control and cleaning. It was a fast - paced environment which I really enjoyed and gained some excellent first-hand work experience. I have gained many skills including working as part of a team and the importance of communication as well as attention to detail. 

I have just completed my A Levels at worthing college where I studied. I achieved an A in Biology A level, an A in Chemistry A Level. 

I have also achieved 9 GCSES; Maths (8), Further maths(8), English language(7), English literature (7), Double science (9,9), Photography (8), Computer science (8), BTEC IT(D) and drama(8)
