Inspired by the natural world, femininity and identity, Melody's work uses energetic brush strokes and a vivid colour palette to portray bold, abstract florals, expressive figures, and dreamscape-style scenes. Over the last few years she has taken her work to the streets, creating site-specific vibrant and attention-grabbing murals - including pieces on the Berlin Wall. Exploration, fun, and a deep sense of curiosity are at the heart of her work. Expect an explosion of colour and a splash of magic.

Melody also works as a graphic designer and illustrator, and is able to use this experience to create mural pieces with imagery and icons to spec. She can produce a range of styles from abstract to realism, depending on the clients needs.

Melody graduated from Winchester School of Art in 2013 with a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art Painting. Since then she has continued her practice, as well as working as a graphic and print designer, copywriter, and digital content creator. She continues to take part in a number of group and solo exhibitions both in the UK and internationally. She currently lives between London and Berlin and is continuing her practice.

GRAPHIC AND UI DESIGNER

Duties include; creating graphics and UI designs for a variety of large scale retail clients, all of which require unique app designs and interfaces. Creating screens for EPOS systems, to illustrations for creative apps. Working to greatly enhance the UI/UX experience for users as well as improving my abilities to create unique, attention-grabbing visuals. Gained further experience in Figma and Adobe Suite.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND CONTENT CREATOR 
Oberlo (Shopify) | Berlin
June 2018 - November 2021 (freelance)
Duties included; creating graphics and digital content for Oberlo’s social platforms and website, including designing and implementing social media plans. Visual design and layout work for printed and digital media using Adobe Suite. Involvement in the rebrand alongside the marketing team. I worked to grow Oberlo’s Instagram followers from 30,000 to 120,000 in one year. 

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Duties include; creating graphics on a freelance basis for clients including Shopify, Urban Outfitters, Zara and more. Creating branding kits for clients (Conscious Cleaning, ULA Goods) with distinct and individual visuals to suit different demographics and brands. Creating and formatting designs for displays and publications, creating graphics to suit different media outputs with the goal of continuing sustainable growth. I have also gained experience in UI, web design and exploring the impact of design styles across different media. This role has also allowed me to improve my skills in Adobe, Figma and multiple AI tools.

PRINT AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER

September 2017 - April 2020
Duties included; working closely with the design director to identify trends and then producing original graphic prints using Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand-painting/drawing to fit the brief. Creating repeat prints, editing designs to fit client briefs, and layout work. Researched and resolved licensing issues as projects progressed. Produced graphics for the company website and social channels. Built skills in designing to suit different audiences and briefs. Selected clients include Urban Outfitters, Bardot and Rose Greenbaum NY.

DESIGNER AND EDITOR
Contrado and Bags of Love | London
March 2016 - August 2017
Duties included; producing visual content across the two fashion and homeware brands. Including website, blog images, artist features and product pages. Worked in close collaboration with the marketing strategy teams daily. A highlight of this role was assisting on photoshoots; coming up with creative concepts and styling the shoot alongside the artistic director. This provided me with further experience in art direction for editorial, and creating design for different demographics.
