I enjoy working across a wide variety of skills to gain knowledge and experience in how things work.

I have been living and working on a private estate on an island 22miles off the coast of Cornwall for the past 15 years.  As primarily the plumber, I have gained skills and experience in many areas of the business, fault finding and repairing commercial kitchen equipment, indoor & outdoor swimming pools as well as air source heat pumps, oil fired boilers & district heating & hot water systems.

During the past few years I have been working closely with South West Water in the hand over of our drinking water supply systems, and the sewage system.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with such a wide variety of professions.

Before Tresco, I worked as a tree surgeon in and around Cheshire.

I trained as a tree surgeon while working at a children's holiday adventure park in Shropshire, a 250 acre Victorian estate, with woodlands, lawns, chalets, and a riding stables.  There, I looked after the grounds, learning how to drive tractors and use various bits of machinery, and spent a few weeks of a winter or 3 with sole responsibility of the estate, and the remaining horses.

I have most recently been to collage for a plumbing certificate.  I have on going training as part of the Ambulance Service, and as a member of the local Fire Brigade.
