Experience

  • I am responsible for the good in and goods out procedures checking in deliveries and preparing orders for dispatch for our Sales and Installs department 
  • Shipping and invoicing of outgoing deliveries and receiving and invoicing all incoming deliveries from our suppliers ready to go out.
  • Tasked with the Sales and Install warehouse making sure all goods are stored correctly and doing stock inventory counts and keeping the warehouse clean and tidy and up to health and safety requirements 
  • I started with Black Light as a warehouse assistant in 2013 with in the hire department which involved creating customer jobs, picking the correct stock for the client and delivering the jobs. We serviced the whole of Scotland with frequent journeys to other parts of the UK as many of our suppliers are based in London and surrounding areas.
  • After 16 months I was promoted to Warehouse supervisor in charge of 7 members of staff in the Hire Department daily duties involve working with my warehouse team to get orders out to our clients in a timely and prompt fashion with many jobs having time restraints to adhere to.
  • After a year as Warehouse Supervisor I was asked to join the inhouse Sales and Hires Department where I was involved in the day to day running of the business dealing with clients over the phone and face to face and helping achieve our sales targets and satisfying our customers needs. 
  • Within the last 6 years I have moved into the office to a sales /admin role which is to support all the departments within the business including Sales, Hires, Installs and Admin support., day to day sales, procurement, Invoicing and couriers for all departments, whilst front facing with our clients.
