Education
Working alongside staff, supporting patients, increasing the positive experience patients have whilst in hospital.
• Encouraging patients to tell me how they are feeling and if there is anything that we can do to make their experience better.
• Assisting with the restock of the documentation at the reception area.
• Assisting ensuring stocks of forms/patient leaflets are kept up to date.
• Distributing papers, magazines, and crosswords available from the volunteering office.
• Helping at mealtimes, for example, getting patients ready for their meal, helping to feed them, and encouraging them to eat and drink
• Helping patients moving around, preventing long periods of inactivity. (Only on the ward)
