About Nicholas O'Connor:
I am looking for an Analyst post to provide me with adequate experience in the field of data analytics during my penultimate year studying BSc Geography and Economic (joint honours) at Loughborough University. I have a keen interest in the use of data in liaising with clients, investors, and decision makers, and to also analyse the longevity of development plans.
I have worked two jobs before one at Macks Pharmacy, assisting the pharmacist as well as, a waiter at Parc Franglaises restaurant both occupations were in London. Working at these roles I was responsible for a collective of shop maintenance, tending to customer’s needs as well as, training and managing new employees by ensuring they knew what they needed to do to fulfil their responsibilities. This requires excellent organisational skills, patients with both customers and employees, and resilience, enabling me to work well under pressure. I therefore pride myself in ensuring that I am well organized and able to work with my team to accommodate customer’s needs.
The fast-paced nature of both a restaurant and pharmacy has equipped me with the ability to effectively cope under pressure and manage a multitude of tasks and deadlines simultaneously. The pharmacy environment often presents me with unforeseen and unpredictable circumstances, where I am required to think on my feet and problem solve.
Alongside my daily tasks, I am also responsible for dealing with the customers on the telephone, where I am required to answer and deal with emergency patient enquiries and direct them to the pharmacist and on occasion suggesting that they seek advice from their GP. This has shaped my work style into one which is extremely adaptable to change and flexible to changing circumstances. Moreover, it has also provided me with opportunities to perfect my telephone manner as well as experience with medical computer software, which was used to track and log patients prescription renewal dates so they can be promptly made and delivered. In addition, I am proficient in Arc GIS, Google, Excel, and other Microsoft software’s that has given be the skills to descramble large, messy data sets and identify important portions of data for necessary use such as support decision makers. As well as being experienced in data visualisation tools and having some understanding on data processing tools. Which would be beneficial for this role.
A post that enables me to develop my practical skills based on the theoretical knowledge, I have gained throughout my academic and professional career, and will continue to learn in the future.
I want to work for an organisation that have the same values and ethics to benefits both parties. I am also very honest, conscientious, hardworking, and able to meet tight deadline and believe I would be an asset to this post.
I am grateful that you took the time to process my statement. I would be available for an interview at your earliest convenience.
