Experience

I am an organised and efficient person with excellent written and verbal communication skills, making me able and confident to communicate well with people on all levels, both as part of a group or on an individual basis. I have exceptional interpersonal skills and find it easy to integrate at all levels with colleagues and management. I gave the ability to maintain a calm and mindful attitude when under pressure or confronted with problems; I have a ‘can do attitude’.

I always seek to achieve high standards in a well organised, efficient and professional manner in whatever work I undertake. I am conscientious, hard-working and a keen learner, along with being reliable and an excellent time keeper. I am flexible in my approach to work duties, allowing me to prioritise workloads to meet my objectives and I can use my own initiative when it is called for. I am a mature, loyal and trustworthy person who can work alone or as part of a team to achieve the objectives of the business.

Working with a charity which supports underprivileged and often vulnerable children and young adults has given me a wealth of experience in dealing with people in crisis both emotionally and circumstantially. I have supported young people and adults through coaching and mentoring guiding them in ways to achieve better outcomes in their life.

I was the sole carer for my elderly, terminally ill father, who also suffered with Parkinson’s and dementia, for 5 years which has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience in how this situation can impact  emotionally and physically upon a person and also provided me with the hands-on skills needed to care for people with emotional, cerebral and physical support needs.

In addition to the above, I have 25+ years of secretarial/personal assistant and bookkeeping experience over several levels of competency up to and including management.
