Business Analyst

I worked on multiple projects under strict deadlines, eliciting functional and non-functional requirements and turning these into detailed requirements. I carried out the task of a business analyst on the backend platform for a consulting firm in order to enable its team to follow up and convert potential leads. I also worked as a business analyst on a real estate platform project which enabled their agents to upload their properties.

▪ Leading and facilitating requirement elicitation sessions using different techniques such as workshops, to capture the current business process and appropriate improvements and ensure delivery aligns with business expectations.

▪ Translating stakeholders’ business requirements to detailed technical requirements for a solution that aligns with best practice methodology with the appropriate use of Business Analysis artefacts such as use cases, process flow, documenting current and future states among others.

▪ Working independently on all aspects of diverse research, analysis, design, support, and development of business solutions, improving user experience while communicating and providing regular project updates to stakeholders.

▪ Documenting Epics, and User Stories with Acceptance Criteria using the GHERKIN Syntax whilst prioritising using MoSCoW in JIRA and Excel, following INVEST principles.

▪ Identifying stakeholders and supporting the Product Owner in ensuring engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborating with the Product Owner to prioritize and groom product backlog using the MOSCOW technique.

▪ Inspecting the product progress at the end of every iteration (every 2-6 weeks depending on sprint) and having complete authority to review work done, or work that is not complete or which needs to be re-prioritised.

▪ Oversee software developer’s progress on applications and ensured that delivery adheres to practices maintained by the company and managed communication with stakeholders.

Business Analyst

I worked on web development (front end and backend) improvement projects,conducting several tasks to improve processes and productivity. I performed the function of the lead business analyst on a car financing website, the software development made it possible for customers to start and finish their car purchase processes on the platform, and the software also enabled franchise dealers toupload their inventories on the platform while it also gave the customer experience team an overview of all activities on the platform.

▪ Worked as a liaison among diverse stakeholders to gather and document business, functional and non-functional requirements via individual interviews, group sessions, and customer surveys.

▪ Participated in and often led agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, show and tell, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as well as conducting presentations, demonstrations, and walkthroughs.

▪ Developed project backlog and sprint backlog from requirements and run daily sprints. Tracked and monitored tasks and team collaboration using agile toolsJIRA and Confluence for collaboration.

▪ Ensured the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, understood, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next.

▪ Responsible for managing deliverables with all relevant parties during and throughout the project/sprints and managed the overall relationship between the business and IT teams to ensure all system improvements/change is delivered during the project/Sprint.
