I am a trained legal practitioner that specialises in Information Technology and International Data Protection Laws as well as Information Security. I am also a computer scientist skilled in IT Management and Computer Network Security.
I possess a combined five years practical experience as a solicitor and software system expert as well as adequate understanding of how to optimally employ legal theories in solving legal problems. - Provided high level responses to the University of Kwazulu-natal questionnaire in connection with data privacy and use of data in Nigeria in the health sector. - Project Memphis: Core member of the team that’s currently carrying out due diligence in MTN’s proposed separation of its datacentre assets into different entities.
- Project Empire: Core member of the team that’s assisting MTN Group/MTN GlobalConnect with procuring NDLO License, International Submarine Cable Infrastructure and Landing Stations Services License and other relevant permits”) for GlobalConnect Nigeria Infra Private Limited (FibreCo) in Nigeria.
- Provided high level responses to IBM corporation on their queries about non-personal data, web crawling and data scraping.
- Currently assisting in the provision of administrative services to High Network Individuals.
- Successfully implemented the Artificial Intelligence Series project for the TMET team. It compromised of a series of short articles published weekly for a period of four weeks.
- Provided legal advice on the legal obligations of Pennsylvania State in Nigeria by virtue of the postdoc's trip to conduct research in Nigeria.
- Provided high level responses to Amazon Web Services on their queries about data localisation requirement in the context of cloud services.
- Provided legal advice to IMG Models to clarify whether a data breach incident involving a citizen of Nigeria will trigger a requirement to notify the data protection regulatory authority in Nigeria.
Provided legal advice to the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) on the interpretation of their constitutional clause that dealt with the tenure of the Board of Trustees - Assisted in the provision of responses to VAT and labelling requirements for PUMA for its entry into the Nigerian Market.
- Assisted in the provision of legal advice to Cogent concerning their application for a license in order to carry out operations in the Nigerian Market.
- Currently advising SpaceX, an international satellite company, in connection with its expansion into Nigeria. The scope of legal services provided to SpaceX covers its proposed operations and the grant of landing rights as well as advising on the current regulatory obligations on international satellite operators in Nigeria as well as the terms and conditions for the provision of the service in Nigeria.
- Currently providing advisory services to Spotify, a multinational streaming platform, with respect to Nigerian laws affecting its business.
- Currently providing advisory services to Puma, with respect to its proposed expansion into Nigeria
- Currently providing advisory services to Microsoft in respect of beta testing uncertified devices
