Ollie Rawlings

My name is Ollie Rawlings, I am from Portsmouth, and I am currently in the third year of study at the University of Sheffield studying Robotic and Mechatronic engineering.

Upon turning 18 I joined the bar staff team which required me to deliver excellent customer service whilst providing with skills such as keep a clean work environment, this expereince also allowed me to be barista trained in order to serve a range of coffees and hot beverages with basic coffee art training. As well as being a barman/barista I was also restaurant trained, teaching me how to look after tables of customers and provide an excellent eating experience for everyone involved. Furthermore, during the summer of 2023 I worked for an agency called Profiles personnel which saw me working a bar for three consecutive 12-hour days at Goodwood revival requiring me to make my own way to the festival and be on time for 6 in the morning. During this experience I worked well with people I hadn’t met before the weekend and provided service highest standard possible whilst also maintain an excellent work environment.

At A-level I achieved ABB in Maths, Physics and Computer Science respectively. In addition through out the 3 years so far of my degree I have averaged a high 2:1.
