OLUKAYODE Abidemi Olugbenga

Being able to integrate my love of telecoms and technical innovation with project leadership has always been my inspiration.  With a career spanning over 17 years, I have delivered a diverse portfolio of projects in non-conducive environments, and with limited resources yet in every situation, I have showcased strategic leadership, optimisation strategies and a sheer drive to deliver the right results and resolve challenges. Innovative, disciplined and incredibly organised, I aspire to develop my career in telecoms to become a subject matter expert, pioneering engineering excellence within such an evolving, dynamic industry.

Technically minded with foundational knowledge of engineering, I have gained experience in GSM and fibre optics with a clear understanding of challenging network terrains/ topology. A proactive leader, I thrive on being at the forefront of ensuring my projects are running smoothly, working to specific timeframes, delivering streamlined and functional network operations, always ensuring costs are minimised, opportunities are developed, and all processes and teams are working together.  My aspiration is to manage and successfully lead a team of revolutionary professionals who together form the foundation for 1st class service excellence and exceptional operational standards. I want this performance to set the precedent for the industry. I want to be leading that very team, using my knowledge and expertise to drive change.  Accustomed to working in dynamic, highly pressured environments, I know I can make a difference using my project management skills, ensuring every project is tracked and each deliverable is managed with precision and accuracy. I enjoy handling many different types of projects, directing process optimisation and introducing new working methods, the outcomes of which play an important role in delivering technical efficiency for the wider community.

My proactive and positive approach has been an important factor in every role I have performed. I enjoy working with customers, external parties and internal departments, sharing my knowledge and vision to achieve the best results. The position of Fiber Engineer within yuor establishment will allow me to expand my experience whilst giving me a platform to share my committed, focused work ethic to ultimately build my journey as a progressive project leader and pioneering Telecoms Manager.
