I have over 10 years of hands-on experience spanning application support, database administration, and IT service delivery across the banking and financial technology ecosystem. My career uniquely combines experience as both a vendor supporting banks and as a banking technology professional, giving me a well-rounded understanding of financial systems from both the service provider and end-user perspectives.

I began my career at NCR Nigeria, an American Company and a leading technology solutions provider to financial institutions, where I supported various core banking applications, ATMs, and payment systems across multiple banks. This role gave me in-depth exposure to payment switching, transaction processing, terminal management systems,  ATM network operations and clearing solutions. I worked closely with client banks to deploy, integrate, and maintain mission-critical systems — ensuring uptime, compliance, and smooth customer experiences.

After several successful years on the vendor side, I transitioned into the banking environment, bringing with me a deep understanding of vendor systems, integration protocols, and support frameworks. This move allowed me to apply my technical and operational expertise within the bank, driving efficiency and strengthening collaboration between internal teams and external partners.

At Providus Bank, I serve as Team Lead (Payment and Regulatory Application Support), where I oversee the stability, performance, and optimization of critical enterprise and payment applications. My responsibilities include incident management, system monitoring, performance tuning, data validation, and regulatory reporting. I lead a small team that ensures continuous service availability and compliance with IT governance standards, leveraging ITIL and COBIT frameworks to deliver consistent service excellence.

My technical skill set includes proficiency in SQL (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB), API testing tools (Postman, Swagger), and automation scripting with PowerShell, visual c#. I am also experienced in Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SSRS and application performance monitoring. I regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams which includes software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, internal control, business analyst and risk management team to enhance system reliability and user satisfaction. I also have exposure to devOp tools like Jenkins, nexus, sonaQube, GIT, Docker etc

I hold a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Babcock University. I am certified in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, ITIL v4 Foundation, COBIT 5, Oracle 10g Database Administration, and Cisco CCNA.

My diverse experience both as a vendor supporting multiple financial institutions and as a banker managing internal enterprise systems has equipped me with a unique ability to align technology services with business goals. I am passionate about optimizing financial applications, strengthening system resilience, and ensuring seamless service delivery across complex technology landscapes.
