Experience
- To date I have gained experience in advanced cell culture models, microbial cell culture, biomolecular and electrophysiology techniques by working in five different research labs in various academic institutes.
- Since October 2021 I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute of Experimental Medicine (WWIEM) at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). I also completed my PhD in this lab between October 2017 and October 2021.
- Before this time I worked on summer research projects in the UCD Conway Institute of Bimolecular and Biomedical Research and the Trinity institute of Biomedical science (June to September 2016).
- Employed as scientific writer for Kelly Scientific Publishing (June to September 2016). I contributed to comprehensive reports that aim to give business and scientific insights by detailing competitor profiling, market trends, and opportunities in the Pharma/Biotech industry. I wrote articles for the company blog centred on the use of stem cells in therapeutics.

Awarded best undergraduate research project in my class from the Physiology Society of UK and Ireland for my microbiology-based project titled Investigation into the route of infection of Campylobacter jejuni in polarised epithelial cells. This project was supervised by Associate Professor Marguerite Clyne.
