Building projects ranging from  4m -  25m with NEC4 Option A contracts.

Duties included procurement, claims advice, change management, tender analysis/reviews, benchmarking and cost

control.

Key achievement: Successfully resolving a complex construction claim on behalf of the MoD worth  650,000, playing

a pivotal role in reaching a fair and satisfactory resolution for all parties involved.

Intermediate Cost Manager - Avison Young (April 2022 – August 2022) 5 Months

Client-side office and restaurant fit-out for Microsoft and Amazon, in the Europe, Middle East and Africa

continents.

Projects ranging from $300,000 – $50,000,000 with FIDIC Red Book contracts.

Duties included procurement, claims advice, change management, cost planning and reporting, benchmarking and

cost controlling.

Key achievement: Successful implementation of sustainable design solutions by integrating environmentally-friendly

practices and technologies into the projects, this contributed to creating eco-conscious workspaces for the companies,

aligning with their commitment to sustainability. This involved collaborating with architects, interior designers to identify

and source sustainable materials within the client’s budget in addition to energy efficient lighting systems, water-saving

fixtures and natural lighting and ventilation to adhere to BREEAM objectives.

Assistant Cost Manager – AECOM Limited (March 2021 – April 2022) 1 Year and 1 Month

Client-side cost management for AECOM Limited seconded to the Environment Agency for dredging, capital upgrades

and waste clearance contracts.

Projects ranging from  1m – 50,000,000 with NEC 4 Option C contracts.

Duties included procurement, change management, cost planning and reporting, benchmarking and cost controlling.

Key achievement: Successful implementation of a flood mitigation and river restoration project in which by effectively

managing costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating collaboration with stakeholders, I played a crucial role

in enhancing flood resilience and restoring the natural habitats of the river ecosystem. This included cost estimation

and budget management. procurement strategy, regulatory compliance and collaboration with stakeholders.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - AGC – (January 2020 – March 2021) 1 Year and 3 Months

Contractor-side quantity surveying for main contractor’s Amco Giffen & Carnell Support Services Ltd for

civils, maintenance and supply contracts under NEC 3 and 4 ECC and Term Service Contracts and

sporadically FIDIC.

Projects ranging from  300,000 -  1m.

Duties included preparation of applications, CVR and cost reporting, subcontract management, pricing of variations.

Key achievement: Engaging in a highway construction project, the successful implementation of value engineering

initiatives by leveraging innovative cost management techniques and collaborating with project stakeholders

contributing to cost savings, improved project efficiency, and enhanced value for the client.

Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Freelance – 2017 - 2019

While studying for a Masters in Quantity Surveying and after completion, working for Tier 1 and Tier 2 tier contractors,

undertaking commercial tasks.
