I have a diverse background combining research, laboratory work, and community-focused initiatives. Professionally, I’ve worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the NHS, where I support diagnostic workflows and ensure quality standards in sample processing. I also completed an internship at the University of Oxford in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics, contributing to research on congenital heart disease and presenting findings for a British Heart Foundation publication. Beyond the lab, I’ve served as an Activities Coordinator at a day centre, tailoring activities for neurodiverse service users, and have taken on leadership roles in student-led organizations focused on education equity and women's empowerment, including founding Books Beyond Borders and leading a Girl Up club

During my degree, I specialised in molecular biology, medical microbiology, and developmental genetics. My projects included gene knockout studies in C. elegans using RNA interference, the use of bacteriophages for genetic modification in E. coli, and advanced protein purification techniques. I also completed an internship at the University of Oxford, focusing on embryological imaging and the molecular basis of congenital heart disease, contributing to a British Heart Foundation publication.
