Thesis Title: Applications of the Mean-Variance Utility Function to Complex Financial Decision-making in Experimental Economics – Led and collaborated on multiple research projects applying behavioural economics to real-world challenges, including
complex decision-making environments and digital choice design.
– Designed, programmed, and analysed remote and in-person experiments (oTree, Qualtrics, Amazon Turk) testing user
behaviour under risk and choice overload. In particular, we developed a digital website-style interface to test choices
under risk, such as investment decisions, for use in online experiments.
– Synthesised findings into actionable insights presented to both technical and non-technical audiences at internal
seminars and international conferences. Has successfully presented externally at Oxford Behavioural Summer School, CeDex (Nottingham), CEBES (UEA), ESA World Conference (online), and the CCC conferences ( at Amsterdam and Nottingham), as well as internal University seminars.
