About Preetha Ramiah:

Holding Tier-1 Global Talent work visa with 3 years validity till 03-07-2025 staying at Coventry, CV14DX.

I’ve completed my Ph.D in Biomedical Medical Image Processing at Anna University, Chennai, India, with my thesis entitled, “Three Dimensional Localization and Reconstruction of Brain Tumor Using Magnetic Resonance Images” by the year 2017.  During my thesis research, I developed an algorithm to accurately classify the abnormal brain Tumor Images and to reconstruct the Tumor slices into a Three Dimensional view. The work was done by developing a novel IFWLS-SVM (Immune feature weighted Least Square Support Vector Machine) algorithm which segments the Brain Tumor from a Magnetic Resonance (MR) Image and classifies the Tumor and non-Tumor Tissues accurately. To compare the quality of the results, I used four different Algorithms named Immune Support Vector Machine (ISVM), Immune Feature Weighted Support Vector Machine (IFWSVM), Feature Weighted Support Vector Machine (FWSVM) and Immune Least Square - Support Vector Machine (ILS-SVM). I obtained a drastic improvement in accuracy of about 98.8% in Tumor Detection. I also have experience in interacting with neuro surgeons to collect MR Dicom Images and to identify the ground truth Tumor.

Out of appreciation, I received "Bharat Ratna Dr.Abdul Kalam Gold Medal Award" from Global Economic Progress and Research Association for “Individual Achievement and National Development” at Bangalore. I did my Master degree (Full Time) in "Communication Systems" under Anna University Chennai. I have a good track of academic records and I received a gold medal in my college for scoring 84.5% marks.

I published papers in International Journals like IETE Journal of Research, International Journal of Biomedical Engineering and Technology - Inderscience Publishers. I am a Recognized Supervisor of Anna University from February 2018. I would like to explore new ideas in working with researchers and implement them to create novel algorithms in this field. I’m looking for an opportunity to be part of a team to help my research and to explore my ideas to the younger generation to discover new ideas in image processing.

Experience

I have 12+ years of teaching experience in engineering colleges and 2 years of full time research experience during my PhD. I worked as a Faculty Mentor, teaching subjects like Communication Engineering, Wireless Communication, Computer Architecture, Signals and Systems etc. I Describe Engineering concepts theoretically and practically. Also we faculty members supervise student’s project work and write Journal Papers to get published in reputed journals. I did Publishing journal papers, presenting conference papers, teaching Engineering students, writing proposals to funding agencies for research support.

Education

I have done PhD and looking for a post doctoral fellowship / Research Assistant
