Now, I am actively seeking new opportunities because my current company is going into liquidation.

I am currently working as a Junior Front-End Developer, developing web-based software solutions spanning various sectors and industries and taking ownership of front-end aspects of projects. I transitioned into this role after completing comprehensive training as a Software Developer with Northcoders, focusing on full-stack development.

In recent projects, I've had the opportunity to work with React and TypeScript for web development, both commercially and personally.

In commercial web projects, I primarily focused on frontend development within the development team. The technologies included React, Redux for state management, Axios for managing HTTP requests, along with TypeScript, Tailwind, and Styled Components. Our goal was to create user-friendly applications designed for effortless lead generation.
 

Junior Front-End Developer, Opop Media (Jan 2024 - Present)

Trainee Software Developer, Northcoders (Oct 2023 - Jan 2024)

Completed training as a Software Developer in a rigorous 13-week coding bootcamp with a focus on real-world programming techniques. Through immersion in a comprehensive curriculum, I have acquired proficiency in technical skills such as JavaScript and React.js, emphasising industry-relevant technologies and agile methodologies. This has equipped me with the skills to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative software development environment.

Full-Stack Project: Square Up
Tech Stack: React Native, Firebase Authentication, Firestore, JavaScript with Expo, and Node.js environment.
Built a mobile application that enables board game enthusiasts to connect with each other, join and host events. Users can instantly message others, discover new games, and locate nearby events on a map.

Frontend Project: NC News
Tech Stack: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React.js and styled with Tailwind
Built and deployed a news application featuring current weather dashboard, sorting and ordering of articles by topic, author, popularity, etc., and user ability to select, sort, and order news articles for reading. The application also includes optimistic rendering, and conditional CSS rules.

Backend Project: NC Server
Tech Stack: Node.js, Express.js and PostgreSQL
Built a REST API with Node.js run-time environment, Express.js server and PostgreSQL database, using TDD and following the MVC pattern. It serves up data such as articles, topics, comments on multiple endpoints, ultimately acting as the back end of a news web application.
