• Act as a specialist health and safety adviser to the trust on all aspects of Health and Safely
• To assist in the planning and delivery of a comprehensive and effective health and safety service.
• To assist in the implementation of health and safety standards, policies and procedures necessary for the trust to fulfil its obligations under health and safety law.
• Supporting Departmental Managers/Supervisors in ensuring that written Risk Assessments and action plans are undertaken, recorded and monitored.
• Assist in providing a continuously improving service in line with Government guidance and strategies, including Clinical Governance frameworks
• Assist in Providing support and advice to relevant Committees including the production of regular monitoring and performance reports, and assist with the preparation of comprehensive annual performance reports.
• I provide guidance and training for these key people where appropriate.
• I produce weekly and monthly accident data and assisting the Health and Safety Manager to produce relevant monthly reports.
• Assist in facilitating the implementation of Trust action plans resulting from inspections by the Health and Safety Executive
• To facilitate monitor and maintain a quarterly self-assessment compliance monitoring tool for health and safety on behalf of the Trust management.
• I deliver relevant Health & Safety training
• Undertake health and safety inspections on a rolling programme basis (and ad hoc where necessary) also providing action plans to departments and monitoring there completion to ensure compliance with legislation and Trust policies and procedures. Providing training to Trust employees on risk assessment and other health and safety related topics on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis as required.

Coroners and Claims Officer

The North East Ambulance Service 

• I   investigate deaths on behalf NEAS for the HM Coroner, To produce reports and give evidence at inquests 
• I provide the HM Coroner with report showing trends and themes.
• Assist in Clinical reviews and root cause analysis meeting. 
• I designed, plan and develop a reporting tool which can underpin the analysis of Coroners, Regulations 28 effectiveness management
• I supported employees and patients families in the process.
