About Rowan Popat:
Throughout my three-year bachelor's degree at the University of York studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics I found a particular interest in microeconomics, analysing how policies made by governments impact both local and international businesses. As a keen problem solver, a role in business analysis really piques my interest as I’m able to utilise the vast array of knowledge I’ve learnt over the past 3 years to a multitude of different issues, allowing for businesses to thrive and strong relationships to be formed.
Outside of education, I have a keen interest in football, taking up a referring qualification in 2019 after playing Sunday league football for over 10 years. A particular area of football that I find extremely interesting is the rapid development of money being pumped into the sport over the past 20 years, with the book “The People's Game: How to Save Football” especially piqued my interest.
I am also an animal lover with me and my family fostering dogs for a charity called Canine Partners, helping train service dogs for people with disabilities.
