Hi, I have 19 years of experience working in care from elderly, dementia, mental health, learning disabilities to autism. I have just recently completed 4 years at Teesside university BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (child) (pre-registration).
I am passionate about children and young people and to make that small difference in their life and their families. I have completed numerous child placement in my time at university and feel I have transferable skills from my previous experience.

I Provided support to nursing staff on numerous wards by carrying out clinical tasks such as observations to monitor a patient which include temperature, blood pressure, blood glucose levels which detect if a patient is deteriorating by following NHS guidelines on the NEWS or PEWS. Completing patient records such as food and fluid charts. Supporting and encouraging patients to undertake activities of daily living whilst delivering compassion, dignity and human rights to deliver high quality of care.

On this ward I supported a diverse group of service users with varying degrees of mental health and physical issues, I supported service users with personal care, psychological needs, social needs one to one observation, motivation.

Responsibilities
Within this role I assisted different client groups in their own home to promote independence and achieve daily living skills. I worked with many different client groups, families, and organisations. Ranging from a variety of ages from very young babies to the elderly with a variety of needs. Assisting with personal care needs, medication, social outings one to one basis, assistance with shopping, cooking cleaning. At times patients may just require some time with another person if they feel unsafe or lonely.
