34 year old male looking to change career into a people focused role. I have worked in Sales and Logistics for most of my life, never satisfied, always looking for more, but i was looking in the wrong direction. Throughout my life I've suffered with Anxiety, Depression, I've been homeless on the streets, in hotels, I've made mistake after mistake with no support. 

for the last 4 years my life has changed so dramatically I'm not even sure i can remember what i was like to have those issues. Through Psycho-education, reading, facing fears and challenging my norm. I made it to the other side. At this point i don't feel quite right following a career that benefits me when i believe i can help others, doesn't have to be the same situation as me, can be worse or far better, mentality is one of the most powerful tools and most dangerous of weapons. I want to be able to use my experience to help others who are struggling or need support to reach their potential. 

Professionally i am experienced in communication, working under pressure and conflict resolution on various scales under different circumstances. 

Working for MITIE during the lockdown, i was a supervisor at one of their testing sites, my job was many things but my main role was to get to know everyone, use the opportunity to educate, support, motivate and teach. In psychology there is something called the “confirmation bias” it basically states that in all scenarios we look for those who match us. Smokers hang with Smokers. Music lovers hang with music lovers. A man in his 30's will gravitate towards others of that age. The workplace is no different. With lockdown we had a unique situation where everyone was out of work and needed something. From pilots, bank managers, military, teachers, construction workers, police, nurses, everyone was different, and in an ordinary world, its unlikely they would spend much time together if they weren't connected through family or friends. So personalities clashed, arguments ensued, opinions differed, political debates, so much tension all over the place, but it gave me an opportunity to get to know everyone, understand their mindset, understand everyone, bring everyone together and create a social circle where people would feel happy to be different and unique, argue with understanding of the other. All sorts really. Hard to explain but that job set me on a path to really delve into the psychology, sociology and the way we think.
