As a newly qualified Mental Health Nurse, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care that empowers individuals to achieve recovery and well-being. Throughout my training, I developed a strong foundation in mental health nursing, combining evidence-based practice with empathy and respect for each individual’s unique experiences and needs.
During my placements, I gained valuable experience working with diverse client groups across inpatient, community, and specialist services. These opportunities allowed me to develop essential skills in conducting comprehensive assessments, implementing tailored care plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, and personality disorders.
I have a demonstrable understanding of key mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act and safeguarding protocols, which I applied to uphold the rights and safety of service users. I am also confident in using theoretical frameworks, such as the biopsychosocial model, to guide my practice and ensure a holistic approach to care.
