Sarah Vallet

I am Sarah VALLET, a  20-year-old student doing a degree in Economics and Sustainable Development at St Andrews University. 

I am a British/Mauritian having I grew up in Mauritius until 2021 when I moved to Scotland. Living in a cultural island allowed me to have a different vision of the world. 

Full of enthusiasm, I am committed to consistently delivering my best and striving to exceed expectations in everything I do.  I love team work in  collaborative environments, where my strong communication skills come to the forefront.

Throughout my journey from High School to university, I have actively participated in various committees and societies, investing. My dedication to constant growth has shaped me into a proactive and driven individual.

Fluent in both French and English, with a basic understanding of Spanish, my communication style is well-known among those who interact with me. My always have the  desire to serve and assist others. 

I approach every task with an lot of energy and a positive attitude, believing that my optimistic spirit can contribute significantly to any team's success.

I had the opportunity to do some internship in the hotel industry. My experience in Sales was in June/ August 2021 when I was a Sale Assistant in London for Pierre Herme Paris. 

I am studying Economics, which gives me an understanding of the functioning of the business world. This knowledge can to be beneficial for the job, as it can help in some situation such as decision-making, risk assessment, effective client communication, and in the long-term vision concerning financial matters and business strategies.

Moreover, having Sustainable Development as a joint degree broadens my perspective. It allows me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges our planet is facing and how to address them. With this combination, I can understand how to mange and maybe start implementing some solutions to have a more socio and eco-friendly world, while minimizing the human impact on our environment. Fashion and clothing having an important negative impact on the earth. 

My studies in Economics and Sustainable Development gives me diverse skills  that can in used while working.
