Shannon McGuire
Administrative
About Shannon McGuire:
I am a hardworking and organised individual currently studying PPE part-time with the Open University, looking to bring my strong work ethic, people skills, and practical experience into a part-time administrative role. I’ve worked in fast-paced, hands-on environments while balancing study and long-term volunteer work. This has strengthened my time management, attention to detail, and ability to stay focused in a pressurised environment. I am able to deliver a high standard of work across all responsibilities, even when managing multiple priorities, and approach each task with care and professionalism. I’m confident using Microsoft Office, quick to learn new systems, and enjoy adapting to new routines and responsibilities. I’m now keen to build a career in an office environment where I can collate my academic insight and real-world experiences to support and contribute to a high-performing team.
Experience
I bring a strong foundation in interpersonal communication, organisation, and adaptability through a blend of support, retail, and voluntary roles. As a Support Worker, I’ve developed resilience, patience, and the ability to handle unpredictable situations while fostering positive relationships. My time as a Retail Assistant honed my time management, stock control, and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment, alongside full-time study. Additionally, long-term involvement as a Voluntary Youth Worker has strengthened my leadership, reliability, and event coordination abilities, with experience in safeguarding and handling small financial tasks. Collectively, these roles reflect my commitment, flexibility, and strong work ethic—key qualities I aim to bring into an administrative setting.
