Shannon Todd

I am heavily involved within the local Portsmouth Music Scene. I’ve worked with local festivals such as Ice Breaker, Dials and Psyched Fest. This has mainly been centred around being an artist liaison, interviewing artists (in person and live streamed) and festival goers taking part, forming podcasts/ sharable content. I graduated from Solent University in Media Production with a 2:1. The course not only taught me the technical side of audio/videography/editing; it also enhanced my people skills, time management and professional work ethic. While at university I was key member of the student run Radio Station (Sonar) producing and presenting; this led to me representing the SRA (Student Radio Association) at The Great Escape Festival (Brighton)- interviewing artists taking part. I was a producer of the very first four station collaboration of the student radio chart show; leading me to receive a station award for ‘Best Producer’. During my first year at university, I was course representative for my class. This meant liaising between both student and faculty. While working in hospitality I have taken many roles. The ones I have enjoyed the most have been creating music/charitable events. I currently work for the community station (Unmade Radio). I self-produce and present my own show (fortnightly); and this is what I am most proud of. Recently I have also taken on a scheduling role within the station; liaising with all the residents and guest DJs. I also occasionally DJ for a local music night called Neu Waves. All these experiences at varying levels of responsibility, are very customer facing within a fast-paced environment; meaning that I have refined representing yourself as not only a brand, but for a company all the while forever adapting to each customers individual needs- therefore I try to be most professional in all I do. I am a very passionate and enthusiastic person, that has no issue taking charge as well as following orders.
