Sophie Fletcher

Hi I‘m Sophie, I have recently graduated from the University of Bristol with a First class honours in Aerospace Engineering. Throughout my time at University I gained valuable transferable skills including time management, leadership and team working skills.

I have a particular interest in applying an innovative and agile mindset to solving complex problems. I am a confident and outgoing individual motivated to succeed to the best of my ability. I love facing new challenges with a creative lens and thrive under pressure.

I am currently working as a technology consultant in Financial Services, whereby I have gained direct client exposure and gained insight into business operations. I have a particular interest in the real estate land in my free time love to appreciate the local architecture.

Price Waterhouse Coopers - Graduate Technology and Data Analyst (Sept 2022-present)
Throughout my time at PwC I have been working directly with clients to understand and develop their needs and expectations specifically their technology data capabilities. I am also currently completing the ICAEW Certificate of Accounting, which has given me insight into financial services and valuable transferrable skills. Managing a full time job and this qualification has taught me great time management and has enabled me to work efficiently by doing do. I have also had direct client facing experience where I have delivered value and developed great relationships both in the UK and overseas, this has taught me the importance of strong relationships to drive success. Additionally, I have been apart of the social committee, whereby I have been responsible for leading a small team and organising social events, I have conducted regular team activities and have taken the lead in organising successful events across the national team. I have also been empowered to help solve some sustainability focused challenges. 
Additionally, a large part of my role has included applying a creative mindset to delivering value to clients through the use of presentations and videos. I have been responsible for taking the lead on the creative side, applying a keen eye for detail in everything I do. 

Ignitec - Product Design Engineer Internship
Throughout summer 2021 I undertook a full-time 2 month placement with Ignitec LTD, here I was introduced to all aspects of the product design and development processes from simple to very complex products. Ignitec is a product design consultancy, introducing me to environment whereby I was working alongside clients at all times and exposed to a variety of different live projects. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, specifically watching an idea develop into a reality using problem solving and creativity.

Bristol Sounds
During July 2022, I was involved in the running and operating of a local festival. Whilst working at Bristol Sounds I learnt the importance of managing small events and the components required to do so. This opportunity taught me some of the needs and requirements of the customers at social events and the ability to adapt and think in an agile manner to solve challenging problems quickly.

Entrepreneur
I set up a small business to provide some extra income and acquire business acumen. I combined my love for fashion and technology to create a means of buying and selling vintage clothing online. As a result, I have taught myself budgeting, financial management and elements of accounting in the process, along with supply and demand principles.
