I am enthusiastic in all customer and client facing roles bringing knowledge gained through 12 years of retail experience and 2 years of working front of house in the beauty therapy industry. Throughout my 12 years of employment in customer service, I have developed strong communication skills from interacting with different customers and team members daily. I am confident in advising and supporting customers to ensure they are satisfied, and also in dealing with problematic situations resolving them as efficiently and professionally as possible. I am passionate about helping customers with requests and assisting them with any enquiries and have had many loyal customers return to me throughout the years. I feel confident and am happy to communicate via telephone and email as well as face to face.
I spent the last 11 years of my service as a Beauty Consultant which required me to look after and manage the cosmetics section of the store. I have also done some basic pharmacy assistant training, and have been sent to other stores throughout my employment to assist in store refits and staff training.
My previous job role also required me to follow processes and procedures thoroughly and I understand the importance of carrying out these tasks effectively. I am a fast learner and have a very ordered approach to work.
Receptionist/Supervisor, The Beauty Island Sanctuary, 2022-2024
My main responsibilities as a receptionist and supervisor are to welcome clients as they walk into the spa, checking them in and giving them any relevant forms to fill out. I file all completed forms after each clients visit. I help new and existing clients by talking them through the services we offer to determine which treatment or spa package is best suited to them. I take these bookings via phone, email and walk-ins which I input on the computer's booking system. I am responsible for ordering the correct food to cater to afternoon teas and other food options we offer with details of clients dietary requirements, I completed an e-learning course on food hygiene level 2 in 2022. I am a key holder and responsible for opening and closing the spa which includes operating the alarm system, opening up the computer booking system to check and prepare for the day ahead and cashing up at the end of the day. As part of my role I ensure the treatment rooms and the spa area are ready for clients by turning on all equipment for treatments as well as the sauna and adding essential oil, removing the cover from the hydrotherapy pool, monitoring the water pressure and managing jets and foam levels. As part of my duties I keep the spa running smoothly and to a high standard with water, juice, tea and coffee facilities topped up, preparing robes and towels, handling the sun beds and tumble dryers, checking in frequently with the washrooms and toilets. I am responsible for dealing with any client feedback or concerns in a professional manner and problem solving to ensure they have the best experience with us.
