Stephen Lawton

I am an apprentice-served laboratory/chemical process technician who over 30+ years diversified into ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 standalone and fully integrated management systems. my roles have included Heath and Safety Manager, Environmental Manager, and Quality Manager, and mixtures of all three. I have worked in most industries whilst completing these roles, but I am now looking for opportunities that will utilise any of the skills that I have developed over my career to date, principally I am interested in administration roles, so that I can utilise these skills further. I work equally well either in a team environmental or in isolation and am proficient with all office-based software, and am an effective communicator either verbal or through the written word, and have been responsible for both the production and delivery of various training packages over the years.

My professional experience in the roles to date include 6 years working at a university, 16 years working for a Tier-1 automotive supplier, working in various areas of manufacturing, worked in pharmaceuticals, construction, printing, and as a consultant.

Since leaving secondary school with 4 (GCE) O-Levels and 8 CSE's I attended Canterbury College of Technology (as part of an apprenticeship) and Studied BTEC sciences. I have also acquired a NEBOSH general certificate, studied for practical environmental management and also qualified as  a lead auditor for ISO9001. I have attended many courses over the years to gain further CPD and have also attended a BRC/IoP course.
