Within Industry
• I have been a Training manager, responsible for the implementation of a training and development program for the entire staff, this includes course development, delivery and co-ordination of all staff/course details.Develop and lead the in-house training offer.Ensuring that the competency framework is robust and fit for purpose.
• I have been a team leader, and a team member involved in setting up full maintenance procedures, which included planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and shift patterns. These measures both improved the efficiency of the plant and the moral of the staff.• I have worked on my own initiative to ensure that both electrical and mechanical equipment is kept working.• I have experience of various equipment, which includes, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Pumps and Motors and PLC programming and Fault finding.• I have worked for many different companies while fulfilling various contracts, these include, FMGC, Railway, F1 and Service sector.• I have had experience of managing both small and large-scale projects.
Within Education
• As a Director, Lead Practitioner and Curriculum Manager I have been involved in the setup of new schools, curriculum development, timetable planning, and staff management. The roles have also led me to be involved with various examination boards and employers to ensure the timely success of students.• I have dealt with industrial partners to both develop and sell courses.• I have had pastoral care for 80 plus students during their time at college, this included tutorial duties and also the planning and implementing of specialised tutorials.• Led on Staff development and appraisals to ensure a cohesive and productive team around the students• I have kept on top of a very varied workload, which has included both mechanical and electrical teaching along with the day-to-day management of the engineering department within a college.• I have taught on a variety of subjects which include Aeronautical, Maths, ICT, Science, PLC’s, Electrical Installation, DTand general Engineering at Level 1 through to Level 5
