About Sudha Gandhi:
I am a trauma informed/ EMDR certified counsellor
Experience
Currently an online Counsellor with Safe Space, I have amassed broad experience working with diverse populations, including foreign domestic workers in Singapore and inmates transitioning from incarceration at a halfway house. My therapeutic approaches integrate techniques from CBT, ACT, Gestalt Inner Child Therapy, and more, tailored to the unique needs of each client. Of note is my specialization as a trauma counsellor, where I have effectively employed attachment theory and CBT for trauma interventions. Recognizing the continuous evolution of therapy, I am also currently upgrading my skills with EMDR training.
My educational credentials include a Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Plymouth and a Master's in Counselling from Monash University. Furthermore, I have pursued specialized courses in various psychological domains from Athabasca University, fortifying my expertise.
My work across various settings, from hospitals to NGOs, has instilled in me the values of compassion, continuous learning, and team collaboration. Notably, my interactions with patients with complex mental health conditions, including personality disorders, have sharpened my empathetic listening, guidance provision, and coping mechanism development skills
