About Sula Keir-Crowther:
I bring a blend of practical experience and a genuine passion for working with children to the role of a Prospective Teaching Assistant. My background as a SEN TA and camp counsellor and has given me valuable insights into child care and engagement. My commitment to ensuring children feel heard and supported underscores my suitability for the position. In terms of strategies for supporting children and teachers, I emphasize attentiveness, explanation, and assistance tailored to individual needs, reflecting an intuitive understanding of the demands of the TA role. My proposed strategies reflect a proactive and empathetic approach, advocating for calm communication and individual attention to guide children towards positive choices.
My exposure to children with Special Educational Needs during my current role as a one-to-one SEN TA, college volunteering and camp experiences demonstrates my willingness to engage with diverse learning needs. My understanding of conditions such as ADHD and Autism, coupled with strategies like one-to-one support and creating supportive environments, showcases my readiness to accommodate SEN requirements.
Looking ahead, I am open to various positions, including daily supply, long-term full-time, or part-time roles, with a preference for supporting children from Nursery to Year 6, including those with SEN. My combination of practical experience, empathetic approach, and eagerness to learn and grow make me a promising candidate for roles in educational settings.
