Tanay Bahukhandi

I am a recent masters graduate specialising in Supply Chain and Logistics. So I was intrigued by the whole procedure a product or a service goes through to arrive in the market for customers. As a customer myself, I would often wonder about factors that led to the product being what it is, the price it was sold for etc, and as a natural progression of this interest, I went on to choose Supply Chain and Logistics as my Masters major. I’m drawn to complex subject matters and the ever-growing integration of technology into our lives, for example, I’ve recently started learning SAS which is a statistical analysis software which helps in data analytics and data management. After a year of lessons, group projects, my dissertation and guest lectures from industry-leading individuals, I am more excited than ever to make a career in this field and to see where it takes me.

My responsibilities as an intern at an IT solution provider with an emphasis on consumer relations and project management included assisting the company's customer relations team, which included engaging with clients to understand their needs and concerns. I also collaborated closely with the project management team to assist in project planning and execution, such as organising project timelines and aiding and abetting with project documentation. Throughout my internship, I was given the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in a real-world business environment while learning about diverse elements related to project management and customer relations.

I am currently working as a sandwich artist at Subway to gain some customer dealing experience in a fast-paced environment. This has given me the opportunity to interact with numerous people from different backgrounds and has boosted my communication prowess.

I worked as an Intern at Kritasutra pvt. ltd. from September 2020 to January 2021, where in my responsibilities with an emphasis on consumer relations and project management included assisting the company's customer relations team, which included engaging with clients to understand their needs and concerns. I also collaborated closely with the project management team to assist in project planning and execution, such as organising project timelines and aiding and abetting with project documentation. Throughout my internship, I was given the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in a real-world business environment while learning about diverse elements related to project management and customer relations.

I am currently working with Subway as a sandwich artist to gain some customer dealing experience in a fast paced environment and to gauge my ability to work cohisively with my team under pressure. 

I was very keen on pursuing a career in engineering, which led me to choose Mechanical engineering as my undergraduate degree. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I wanted to focus on the managerial spectrum more so I opted for a masters in Supply Chain and Logistics from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. I was very intrigued by complex subjects like Supply Chain Operations, Demand Fulfilment, Total Quality Management, and Enterprise Resource Management, and throughout my course duration undertook leadership roles in almost all of my group projects.
