About Tara Lynch:

2023 graduate from the University of Central Lancashire with a 2.1 in BSc Psychology. Several years of experience in hospitality and alongside children. Worked both independently and within a team. With a range of experience, I have gained vital and transferable skills I can use across the board.

Experience

Bakery Assistant – Williams Handbaked (April 2024 – Present)

The bakery requires you to work efficiently in your team to meet the demands of the orders being consistency placed. You need ensure you have good time management and multitasking skills in regard to all areas of the production: baking, packaging and delivery.

Crew Trainer – McDonalds (July 2018 – April 2024)

In this role I have benefited from the fast-paced environment of working under pressure to achieve targets throughout the day, week and year. This job requires a lot of communication throughout all the areas to ensure any potential allergens are controlled. The crew trainer role has highlighted the importance of procedures and the training of new employees to ensure they’re all working efficiently to help the shifts run smoothly. Their training schedules requires you to be up to date on any changes in procedures and has taught me to be more structured in my approach. Training is recorded via a computer system therefore I also have basic computer skills. I did this for just under 6 years which demonstrates my commitment and consistency in my work life.

Play Worker – The Nest Children’s Holiday Club (October 2017 – July 2022)

This allowed me to become more empathetic regarding each child’s individual names and adaptation is required because every child’s experience is relative. Children also require full time attention to ensure their safety.

Football Referee (November 2017 – November 2019)

Through doing this I gained the confidence to stand by my decisions. The games require unrequited attention to make the most accurate decisions in very little time. This in turn granted me leadership skills through the responsibilities of standing by my own judgements and being resilient to any disputations whether it was with the players or their parents.
