Ted Osmond

I have been working in the coffee industry since 2010 including running my own Mobile cafe from 2016-2024.   Currently I’m in the process of relocating back to Bath, and getting into the local Coffee industry.  I have been passionate about coffee since my 1st cup of coffee in 1995 aged 19 while traveling in Los Angeles,  and I haven’t looked back since!  I pride myself on excellent knowledge about all things coffee related, and also outstanding customer service, enjoying the rapport amongst fellow coffee lovers.  I believe that coffee is more than just a hot drink, but a lifestyle and an experience that needs to be enjoyed in pleasant surroundings.  I have the experience, passion and desire to convey this to fellow coffee lovers, and the enthusiasm to bring it to people that may not have discovered real coffee.

Currently I work as barista at Cafe Maueva, which is a very busy cafe located at a local tourist attraction.

From June 2016-June 2024 I ran my own mobile barista cafe - Beanies Cafe.  I had a regular route serving top quality coffee and food to local offices and places of work.  I also attended events.

From 2010 to 2016 I worked for a coffee roaster and supplier carrying out a range of duties including  a. role as a ”mystery shopper “, anonymously attending cafes and evaluating the quality of the coffee served and rating the performance of the barista.

Sep 1995-July 1998 BA degree in Classical Studies from The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
